Sammamish WA Quartz Countertops

Granite & Marble Specialties collaborated with NW Homeworks on this complete overhaul of Sammamish, WA home. The focal point of the remodel was the kitchen countertops. NW Homeworks opened up the space as much as possible while retaining the supporting wall and installed IKEA cabinetry with custom doors, reeded glass, under-cabinet lighting, and a custom integrated refrigerator, which sits flush with the level of the cabinets.

Granite & Marble Specialties created the custom quartz countertops for this Sammamish remodel. To compliment the natural-grain wooden cabinetry and new hardwood flooring, we helped the homeowners choose a light-colored quartz of engineered stone that is nearly as strong as granite but with the luminosity of a white marble. It looks as smooth and chic as the cabinetry, bringing the Sammamish kitchen into the 21st century.

We also used a gray tile for the backsplash between the quartz countertops and the cabinetry that added some depth and shadow to the walls without drawing attention away from the wood or quartz. We were able to recreate the kitchen’s clean lines and color scheme in the bathroom, which was also part of this Sammamish remodel. We used gray slate floor tiles and gray stone veneers in the new glass-walled shower, along with the same white quartz from the kitchen.

What we like

We used a flat polish edge profile on this home’s quartz countertops, which not only creates the impression of thicker stone without the weight or expense but also makes the kitchen feel more modern. The bright white color also makes the room look wider and more full of light—light stone is very popular choice right now and we expect it to be a big part of the industry’s future! This home’s custom quartz countertops were only $3275, which is one of the best rates possible in the Northwest.
